About
Christopher Stampar is a photographer and humanitarian who has worked and travelled in more than forty countries across four continents. He looks for situations that stretch him — different cultures, difficult environments, and stories that are easy to overlook — and tries to render them with clarity and respect. His subjects have ranged from public figures to remote landscapes and to people in vulnerable circumstances.
Since 2012 he has collaborated with international nonprofits on initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — from community-led grants and field programs to strategy, communications, and safety planning in complex settings. He previously served as a volunteer advisor to Global Response Management (2019–2021), supporting their digital presence and operations for emergency medical care in conflict-affected regions.
Alongside that work he builds software and explores quantitative finance, DeFi, and AI-assisted development — the same instinct applied in a different medium: understand systems, then ship something useful.
His images have appeared in publications including People and Ocean Drive, and his video work has been featured in a National Geographic film.
